CCYSB embraces a collaborative approach to behavioral health and substance use treatment that emphasizes community partnerships. In an effort to meet the multiple needs of children and families, with other community agencies is essential. Primary partners include the Carroll County Board of Education, particularly the Pupil Services department. Other partners include the Department of Social Services and Juvenile Services. Children and adolescents referred for abuse, neglect, and delinquency are typically in need of coordinated community services. CCYSB therapists will frequently make home visits, attend school meetings with parents, communicate with case workers, and refer families for additional support services such as housing, vocational training, medical care, and hospitalization.
