Presently, the biggest obstacle to the future growth of Carroll County’s Youth Service Bureau is our limited space. We are embarking on a 20,000 sq. ft. capital project, which will allow us the opportunity to provide more services and better meet the needs of a growing county.
The Carroll County Commissioners approved the generous provision of the land, and our agency has submitted a $2.5m application to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, for our new facility. We will also seeking funding through federal and foundation grants. Our capital campaign funds will contribute to the total amount needed for this capital project.
This new facility would allow Youth Service Bureau to provide more counseling services and apply for additional grant-funded programs, thus pursuing our goal of increasing mental health services to children and families in Carroll.
